Preparation procedure

  • Take about 1 dl of water, warm it a little so it is lukewarm, add the sugar to it and then the crumbled cube of yeast.
  • Then cover with a cloth and you can place it in a warm spot and wait until the yeast starter rises. This can take about 20 – 30 minutes. Once it has risen, you can move on to the second phase.
  • When the dough has risen, you can proceed to the next phase of the recipe. Take a loaf pan or baking dish and grease it with a little butter. Shape your homemade loaf so that it fits into the pan and put it in there.
  • Now take aluminum foil and cover it. Put it into the oven like this for 20 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius.
  • Then remove the foil and bake your bread for another 20 – 30 minutes in the usual way. Estimate the time by the color and the thickness of the crust. If you prefer it crunchier, you can leave the bread in the oven a little longer.
  • Then take the bread out of the oven, turn it out of the pan and let it cool at room temperature. Only when you can hold it in your hand may you slice it for the first time and taste it.
