  • Dough preparation: In a bowl, mix the powdered sugar, egg yolk, butter, vanilla extract, salt and baking powder. Gradually add the sifted flour and work into a smooth, non-sticky dough.
  • Resting the dough: Wrap the finished dough in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to make it easier to shape.
  • Shaping the rings: On a floured surface, roll the dough to a thickness of about 7 mm. Cut out circles and make a small hole in the center of each. Transfer the rings to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and put them back in the refrigerator for another 20 minutes.
