Preparation procedure
- Preparation of the cream: Mix the flour with the milk and stir well to avoid lumps. Add the grated coconut and cook a thick cream over low heat. Stir constantly to prevent the cream from burning. Let the cream cool, then add the sugar, vanilla sugar and butter. Mix thoroughly until a smooth, creamy mass forms.
- Preparation of the dough: In a bowl, mix the crushed biscuits, cocoa, apricot jam, rum, butter, sugar and gradually add the milk until you get a mixture that is easy to work with. The dough should not be too runny. Divide the dough into three equal parts. Roll each part out to approximately 20 x 30 cm.
- Assembling the dessert: Place the first part of the dough on a baking tray or into a pan. Spread half of the coconut cream over the dough and spread it evenly. Cover with the second part of the dough, again spread the remaining cream and finish with the third part of the dough.
- Chocolate glaze: Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie and add a teaspoon of oil to make the glaze smooth and shiny. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the surface of the dessert.
- Chilling and serving: Place the finished dessert in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set and allow the flavors to meld. Cut into small squares and serve.
