Preparation procedure

  • Dough preparation: In a bowl, mix both types of flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and baking powder. Add softened butter, egg yolks and sour cream. Work into a soft, smooth dough. Divide it into three equal parts and roll each out to the size of the baking tray.
  • Layering: On a baking tray lined with parchment paper, place the first sheet of dough, spread it with a layer of jam and sprinkle with ground nuts. Flavor the nuts with lemon zest. Place the second sheet of dough and repeat the process. Finally cover with the third sheet, prick with a skewer and bake at 180 °C for about 35 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • Chocolate glaze: Heat the sweetened cream just below boiling point and add the broken dark chocolate. Stir until a smooth, glossy glaze forms. Spread it evenly over the cold cake.
  • Finishing: Let the dessert set for several hours so the flavors fully meld. Then cut into squares or rectangles.
