  • Preparing the batter In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the salt and vanilla sugar until frothy. Add the sugar, milk, and oil, and mix. Fold in the flour mixed with the cocoa and baking powder until a smooth batter forms.
  • Cooking in the pan Grease a pan (Ø approx. 24 cm) with butter. Pour in the batter and cover the pan with a lid. Cook over medium heat (equivalent to 180 °C) for about 30 minutes until set. Let the cake base cool completely.
  • Glaze – step 1 In a bowl, mix the milk with the cocoa. Set aside.
  • Cream – step 2 In a small saucepan, whisk together the starch, cocoa, vanilla sugar, sugar, and milk. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil and cook until the cream thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the butter and chopped dark chocolate. Stir until the chocolate melts. Let the cream cool and set in the refrigerator (at least 30 min).
  • Assembling the dessert Drizzle the cooled cake base first with the cocoa glaze (step 1). Spread the chilled chocolate cream evenly over it. Decorate with grated or chopped chocolate.
