This recipe is very simple, but thanks to the garlic, butter, and oregano the potatoes gain a delicate aroma and pronounced flavor. In addition, it does not require any special ingredients – you can usually find everything at home.

Preparation procedure

  • Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Thoroughly wash and dry the potatoes.
  • Slice each potato lengthwise, but do not cut all the way through – the bottom must remain intact.
  • Cut the garlic into thin slices and place them into the cuts in the potatoes.
  • Prepare a mixture of the butter and oil. Stir in the oregano and salt.
  • Place the potatoes on a baking sheet, ideally in prepared small foil cups, and brush half of the mixture over them. Apply the rest evenly on top.
  • Bake for about 50 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and golden on the surface.
  • Let rest briefly, remove from the foil, and serve.
