Preparation procedure
- Mix the warm water with the sugar in a container so that the sugar does not settle at the bottom.
- Add, the previously cleaned berries (cherries, currants etc) to the container.
- Now add the vodka and let it rest.
- Pour into a glass container (in the end there must be a sufficient three liters), cover with a lid and store in a dark place.
- Your homemade liqueur will be ready in about 10 days. Two weeks are better. In olden times it was believed that the infusion should rest until the drink no longer clings to the glass and does not leave a clear trace. During this time the liquid and the fruit's flavor will nicely combine with the other additives and the fruit will settle at the bottom.
- After resting, it is advisable to strain the entire contents of the bottle.
- Pour the strained drink into sealable containers.
- Your homemade liqueur is ready! You can use a different alcohol or other types of fruit – creativity knows no bounds
