- Thoroughly wash the potatoes to remove dirt and, if you like, boil them with the skins on in salted water.
- While they cook, peel the garlic and press it into the melted butter.
- Drain the cooked potatoes, then gently score each potato or poke it 2-3 times with a fork.
- They will then crack nicely in the oven and be much tastier.
- Place the potatoes in a baking dish and pour the garlic butter over them, salt and pepper them, and finally sprinkle with chopped rosemary (dried is fine).
- Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.
