Preparation procedure
- Let the butter and lard soften at room temperature.
- Put the flour into a bowl and make a well into which you pour the lukewarm milk.
- Sprinkle in the sugar and crumble in the yeast, then wait until the yeast starts to foam.
- Then add the remaining ingredients and knead with your hands into a smooth dough.
- Shape the dough into kolaches and fill them with fillings to taste.
- It doesn't matter which you choose – šimlová, poppy seed, curd cheese, jam – simply whichever you like.
- Bake until golden, at about 170°C, but it's best to follow your own oven, as each bakes differently.
- After baking let cool and dust with powdered sugar.
