These fluffy orange cakes can be prepared within half an hour, without a mixer and with a minimal amount of ingredients. The delicate taste of butter, fresh orange and a crispy edge make them ideal with coffee or tea.

  • Preparing the orange Thoroughly wash and dry the orange. Grate only the orange part of the peel and squeeze out the juice.
  • Batter base In a bowl, beat the softened butter with the sugar (and vanilla sugar, if using) until fluffy. Add the eggs and beat thoroughly.
  • Fragrant combination Stir the orange juice and zest into the butter mixture; a loose batter will form.
