Preparation procedure
- Whisk 2 eggs with the sugar until you get a foam.
- Add the flour, baking powder, oil, milk and brandy.
- Slice the apples into thin slices and put them into the batter.
- For the preparation you will need a resealable plastic bag, but the more resourceful can manage with just a bowl.
- Into the bag we put the yeast, water, sugar, salt, oil and 220 grams of flour. Seal the bag well and squeeze out all the air.
- Knead the dough in your hands.
- Place the bag in a large bowl with warm water and leave it there for about 30 minutes.
- The dough will rise beautifully.
- After half an hour add 30 grams of the remaining flour to the bag and mix well.
- Leave the dough in the warm water for another hour.
- When the dough has risen, take it out of the bag and divide it into three equal parts.
- From each piece of dough make a long strip.
- Braid a classic braid from the three strips.
- Place the finished braid on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush it with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Preheat the oven to 150 degrees and bake the braid for approximately 40 minutes until it has a golden surface.
