Preparation procedure

  • Preparing the batter In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the granulated and vanilla sugar until light and frothy. Gradually add the oil and milk and mix. Stir in the flour mixed with the baking powder and the lemon zest until a smooth batter forms.
  • Layering on the baking tray Prepare a baking tray (approx. 25×30 cm), grease with butter and dust with flour. Pour about ⅔ of the batter into the tray and smooth the surface.
  • Adding the quark and jam Mix the quark with the powdered sugar and a small amount of oil. Carefully dot the quark layer onto the batter with small mounds ("fliačky"). Spread the jam over the remaining part of the batter and drop the condensed chocolate.
  • Baking Bake in an oven preheated to 180 °C (convection 160 °C) for 25–30 minutes, until the surface is golden. After removing, let the cake rest for 5 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar or sprinkle with coconut to taste.
