- Cut the bread into cubes and pour over with the yolks mixed with the milk.
- Add salt, a pinch of nutmeg, finely chopped parsley and coarse flour – mix everything thoroughly and finally fold in the beaten egg whites.
- Fold the beaten egg whites into the mixture carefully so the dough is nicely airy.
- Then wet your hands and shape the dough into balls.
- Cook the dumplings in boiling water for about 15 minutes.
- You can improve the whole recipe by adding finely chopped bacon
