Ingredients: 4 eggs; 4 tablespoons granulated sugar; 4 tablespoons oil; 4 tablespoons boiling water; 5 tablespoons plain flour; 1 tablespoon cocoa; 1 teaspoon baking powder; 250 g ground walnuts; 150 ml rum (or 100 ml milk + 50 ml rum); 150 g powdered sugar; 4 eggs; 5 tablespoons granulated sugar; 2 tablespoons cocoa; 250 g softened butter; 50 g grated dark chocolate

Cocoa sponge: Whisk the egg whites with the sugar until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the yolks, oil, and boiling water. Finally, gently fold in the sifted flour mixed with the cocoa and baking powder. Spread the batter on a baking tray lined with parchment paper (20×30 cm) and bake in an oven preheated to 180 °C for about 20 min, until the sponge base is firm to the touch.

Nut cream (cream 1): Mix the ground nuts with the rum and powdered sugar. Let it sit for a while to allow the flavors to meld.

Chocolate cream (cream 2): Beat the eggs and sugar over a double boiler until the mixture thickens. Let it cool. Stir in the cocoa and gradually beat in the butter until a smooth cream forms.

Assembling the slices: Spread the nut cream over the cooled sponge base. Spread the chocolate cream on top. Chill the slices in the refrigerator for at least 4 h (preferably overnight) to set.
