If you’re looking for a simple snack that will disappear from the table first, try these bacon-filled puff pastry sticks. Preparation is quick, it takes only 15 minutes, and you’ll love the result. The crispy pastry and delicious filling guarantee success at any celebration or gathering.

  • Preparing the dough: Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Lay the puff pastry out on a floured work surface and spread a thin layer of mustard over it.
  • Layer of cheese and bacon: Sprinkle the spread surface with grated cheese. Place the bacon slices on the cheese so they cover the entire surface of the pastry.
  • Shaping the sticks: Cut the dough into strips about the width of the bacon slices. Lightly roll each strip into a spiral and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brushing and sprinkling: Brush the sticks with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds for a beautiful appearance and a flavorful finishing touch.
  • Baking: Bake in the preheated oven for about 10–12 minutes, until the pastry turns golden and is nicely crispy.
