Preparation procedure

  • Preparing the starter Stir the sugar and yeast into lukewarm milk. Let the starter rise in a warm place (approx. 10–15 minutes).
  • Working the dough Pour the flour into a bowl, add the salt and the starter. Work into a smooth dough and let it rise for about 40 minutes.
  • Shaping the langošs Divide the risen dough into roughly 13 equal parts and form buns. Let them rest for another 15 minutes. Then stretch them into a circular shape.
  • Frying Fry the langošs in a deep pan in a larger amount of oil on both sides until golden. The oil must be sufficiently hot and the langošs should be submerged.
  • Seasoning and serving Brush the baked langošs with garlic water to taste, spread with tartar sauce and sprinkle with ham and grated cheese.
