Preparation procedure

  • Dough In a bowl mix the flour with the baking powder and powdered sugar. Add the egg, sour cream and melted fat. Work into a smooth, pliable dough. Divide it into 2 equal parts.
  • Layers Roll each piece into a rectangle the size of the baking sheet. Transfer the bottom layer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. (Optional) Lightly sprinkle the bottom layer with breadcrumbs/ground sponge biscuits.
  • Filling Briefly stew the grated apples with sugar and cinnamon, just until warmed and they release a little juice. Let cool to lukewarm and spread evenly over the bottom layer.
