  • Preparing the batter Beat the eggs, granulated sugar and vanilla sugar until light and foamy. Add the oil and yogurt, mix again. Sift the flour with the baking powder and gradually fold it into the mixture. The result will be a smooth, semi-liquid batter.
  • Filling the pan Line a 20 × 20 cm pan with baking paper or grease and flour it. Pour in half of the batter, spread jam on top. Then add the rest of the batter and spoon another layer of jam on top – you can lightly stir for a marbled effect.
  • Baking Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Bake for about 30 minutes – the cake should be golden and firm on the surface. Test with a skewer – it should come out dry.
  • Finishing Let the cake cool completely and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
