Preparation procedure

  • Dough: Work the quark, butter, flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, salt and lemon zest into a smooth dough. If it sticks, add a little flour. Let rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Nut filling: Cook the nuts in the milk. Add povidla, butter, rum, lemon zest, cinnamon and honey. Thicken with a little breadcrumbs so the mixture holds its shape.
  • Curd filling: Mix the quark with the egg, sugar, solamyl and lemon zest.
  • Shaping: Roll the dough out to about 4 mm and cut out circles (about 5 cm). Put a teaspoon of nut or curd filling in the center. Fold and seal with the seam-side down. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Baking: Bake at 180 °C for about 15 minutes until golden.
